BELOIT — Beloit Police Drug and Gang Unit members along with other officers from the department recovered 151 pounds of packaged marijuana, $19,600 in cash and a vehicle at 3 a.m. today in the 1800 block of Dell Drive, according to a news release from Deputy Chief Norm Jacobs.

Samuel Velasco Garcia, 56, of 1815 Dell Drive, Beloit, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, tax stamp violations and prohibited Acts B. He is in custody at the Rock County Jail and will appear in court Monday, Jacobs said.

The unit and officers served a search warrant at the address based on an ongoing investigation. The home also might be seized as the investigation continues, Jacobs said.
