Rock County's Park, Outdoor Recreation and Open Space (POROS) Plan is nearly ready for a county board vote.

Two committees are considering adoption of the plan Friday. Parks Director Lori Williams says there are conceptual plans that include upgrading playgrounds, dealing with erosion, working on trail systems, and infrastructure upgrades. The plan covers the next five years and is incorporated into the county's Comprehensive Plan. Williams says the plan also includes land acquisition, although the amount of acreage the county hopes to acquire is not specified in the plan.

She says the county board is expected to vote on the plan by the end of the month.
