— Police continue to investigate an incident that happened around midnight Wednesday.

The incident started with an assault at a home in the 1900 block of Garden Drive.

"We know two people got into a physical altercation at this address, alcohol was involved then they left the house," said Lt. Tim Hiers of the detective bureau.

About 45 minutes later, one of the men involved in the altercation returned to the house, with at least two other unidentified people, Hiers said.

Police also discovered a broken window in a vehicle and a couple broken house windows, he said.

"In one of the house windows, it appears someone shoved in a shotgun and shot birdshot up into the ceiling. But nobody saw a gun," Hiers said.

Police believe no one was hurt since no one sought medical attention at a local hospital, he said.

No arrests have been made and police today are trying to identify all parties involved in the assault, damage to property and recklessly endangering safety incident, Hiers said.

WAKE UP WISCONSIN- ROCK COUNTY!! YOU WONDER WHY OUR JAILS ARE CROWDED! i say put them all on an island and leave them let them fend for themselves!! instead of taking property from others

I love how some assume that the police are supposed to wave their magic wand and POOF magically there are perfect cooperative suspects, a witness who saw the whole thing, and instant arrests.. its not a perfect world, and if it was, people wouldnt be shooting into houses...

Sad as it is our local area has become another gang-drug infested area. When the public talks freely, when the knowledge is open for review then we have related problems. So often we retreat thru the pages of our memory,of the "remember whens, days". Only to find our thoughts compare,or equal, the thought of adults back then,as is now. Yet. Things have gotten far worse and they need police/public intervention. I suggest that instead of sitting around listening to your scanners, maybe you might be more involved and cooperative with the police by grabbing the phone as needed. Take care,MrO!

Nobody saw the gun that might have been shot into a ceiling.
No one was hurt.
No one sought medical attention.
No arrests were made.

Now that is some fine investigative journalism and police work.

On scanner it also stated a lot of blood at scene now why wasn't that be put in here? The JPD spent more then 3 (as it was still going on at 3:15)hours searching known addresses that the people were know to go and THIS IS GANG RELATED as the name of a well known thorn in this community as to his behaviors and affiliates was broadcast over the scanner and also the JPD referred to gang related log book as to names and addresses ( I heard some of the addresses )and released that over scanner also..And the discription of the possible 2 vehicles he could be driving.I dont know if I can use the name legally but scanner info is open to public IMO This individual is one who I have talked about in previous articles. And the community should see a pic of him and I dont know if this will be removed but i feel we as citizens have the right to know the serious threats in our community.Street name of "LOCO" AKA; Victer Garcia. This gut gets away with most of what he does and I pray they get him this time and lock him away along with his afilliates as they called them on scanner.
