Three free throws with less than a second left in the first half started a Madison Edgewood roll that took down Milton High, 67-55, in a Badger South boys basketball game Tuesday night.

The visiting Crusaders led by only a point, 25-24, when the Red Hawks were called for a foul on Patrick Lagman’s three-point attempt with five-tenths of a second remaining in the first half. Lagman made all three free throws to give Edgewood a 28-24 lead.

Edgewood then took command with a 24-13 third-quarter advantage in the battle for second place.

Lagman finished with 25 points, while Derek Braucht added 20, including 11 in the third quarter, for the Crusaders (10-4, 6-2).

Mason Walters led the Red Hawks (5-7, 4-2) with 28 points, while Brandon Knutson added 12.

n Oregon 48, Monroe 47—The Panthers dropped two-time defending champion Monroe (9-4, 7-1) from its undefeated status in the Badger South with an overtime victory at Oregon.

Jason Hinz made a three-point basket to break a 33-33 tie at the outset of the overtime, and Oregon (4-9, 3-4) led the rest of the way, making 10 of 11 free throws down the stretch to stop the division-leading Cheesemakers.

Brian Ironmonger and Mike Amend scored 13 points apiece to lead Oregon. Hinz finished with eight points.

Mitch Tordoff and Bryan Tordoff scored 18 and 17 points, respectively, for Monroe.

 n Stoughton 62, Fort Atkinson 47—The Vikings hit Blackhawks with a 20-8 third quarter to lead 51-35 in a Badger South victory at Fort Atkinson.

Skip Gerber scored six of his 18 points in the third quarter to boost Stoughton (7-6, 5-3). Gerber also made nine of 10 free throws overall, including six in the second half.

Jake Bohn scored 12 points for Fort Atkinson (1-12, 0-8), which suffered its 12th straight loss.
