Open enrollment begins Monday

Open enrollment starts Monday for schools across Wisconsin.

Tami Carlson, Administrative Services Secretary in the Janesville School District, says students transfer into Janesville for many reasons. She says students don't need to provide a reason when they transfer. However, through conversations she's learned reasons include extra-curricular programs, charter schools and families who have moved but want their students to stay with their friends. The Department of Public Instruction is encouraging online sign-up on its website.
