Memorial takes finale

Vander Blue and Jamar Morris each registered double-doubles as Madison Memorial beat Renaissance, 66-59 to conclude the Motor City Classic in Beverly Hill, Mich. with two victories and a loss.

Blue scored 22 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, while Morris scored 14 points 12 rebounds. Tre Creamer added 10 points for Memorial.

The game was a slugfest with Detroit Renaissance committing 26 fouls and Memorial 16. The Spartans made 22 of 32 free throws, while Renaissance went 18 of 26 from the line.

Eddie Bujdosik scored 19 points for Montello. Dan Meyer scored 17 points for Palmyra-Eagle.

-- Delavan-Darien 54, Greendale 35—Tyler Butke sat out much of the second quarter with foul problems, but he came back to lead Delavan-Darien past visiting Greendale in a nonconference game Wednesday.

Butke scored eight of his 12 points in the third quarter when the Comets expanded a 23-15 halftime lead to 44-22. Butke also had 11 rebounds as Delavan-Darien improved to 4-3.
