Bluebirds third in tourney
WAUKESHA The Janesville Bluebirds finished third at the Waukesha Holiday hockey tournament.
Janesville, behind Aaron Jacobson's hat trick, beat Mount Carmel (Ill.), 5-2 in Wednesday's third-place game.
The Bluebirds (6-4) fell behind 2-1 in the first period but scored the next four goals to pull away.
"We moved the puck well, and converted on two of three power plays," Janesville coach John Mauermann said.
"And Tyler (Lewis) played well in goal when he had to."
Lewis made 20 saves for the Bluebirds.
Ryan Shelton and Cody Iverson also scored for Janesville, while Sean MacDougall had three assists.
