Fort Atkinson’s boys basketball team found the win column Monday night.

Michael Knudson’s three-point play with less than two minutes remaining proved to be the difference as the Blackhawks held on for a 48-45 victory over Mayville in the second game of the Fort Atkinson Holiday Tournament.

Fort Atkinson (1-6) will play Lakeside Lutheran in the tonight’s championship game.

Mayville scored with 1:20 to play to cut the lead to one, but could get any closer as the Blackhawks made a pair of free throws in the last minute.

Brady Sexton scored 12 points to lead Fort Atkinson.

-- Laconia 65, Evansville 53—The Spartans made five three-point baskets in the first half en route to the semifinal win in the first game of the Portage Holiday Tournament.

Evansville (4-3) fell behind by 11 by halftime and got no closer than seven in the second half.

Casey Moseley scored 15 points to lead Evansville.

Evansville will play Rio in tonight’s consolation game.

(4-2) in the Motor City Round Ball Classic in Southfield, Mich.

McCallum is the son of former Wisconsin assistant and current Detroit Mercy head coach Ray McCallum.

Vander Blue, a Marquette University recruit, finished with 14 points and was the only Spartan in double figures.
