RSS

A deer hunting season opens in Rock County Christmas Eve day.

The "Holiday Hunt" is intended to combat Chronic Wasting Disease by reducing the deer herd. Department of Natural Resources officials say the hunt will include CWD management zones in most of South Central Wisconsin. This includes virtually all of Rock, Green, Walworth, Jefferson, and Dane counties.

This is the second year for the hunt, which lasts through January 3rd.
