Milton High’s boys basketball outscored visiting Fort Atkinson 19-4 in the fourth quarter Friday night to nail down its first Badger South victory, 54-36, and second win overall.
Milton (2-4, 1-3) trailed 17-16 at halftime but took a 35-32 lead into the fourth quarter. Philip McCarthy scored 13 of his game-high 14 points for the Red Hawks in the second half.
The Red Hawks made 11 of 16 free throws to key their fourth-quarter surge.
Brandon Knudtson and Sam McCann scored 12 points each for Milton. Michael Knutson scored 13 points for Fort Atkinson (0-5, 0-2).

Alex Brooks scored 16 points to lead Stoughton, while Tyler Kowalkowski added 13 points, Eric Gerber added 11 points and Tom Speth chipped in 10 .
Chad Manzur scored a game-high 18 points for Reedsburg and Jordan Van Cleave added 16 points.
