Two-time defending league champion Delavan-Darien suffered a miserable third quarter en route to a 46-39 loss to Union Grove in Southern Lakes Conference girls basketball Tuesday night.

After trailing 19-14 at the half, the Broncos (3-0, 2-0) ripped the Comets 14-4 in the third quarter to take the lead for good 28-23. Kaitlyn Wilks scored 16 of her 23 points in the second half to spark Union Grove.

Alana Cesarz scored 12 points for Delavan-Darien (2-1, 1-1), making 10 straight free throws.

-- Burlington 52, Elkhorn 45—The host Demons outscored the Elks 22-5 in the fourth quarter in picking up the Southern Lakes win.

Elkhorn (1-3, 0-2) led by nine at half but was outscored 34-16 in the second half.

Lindsey Dickmann of Burlington (2-5, 1-1) led all scorers with 17, while Allison White paced Elkhorn with 10.

-- Wilmot 71, Badger 63—The Panthers kept the Badgers winless on the season with the Southern Lakes victory.

Badger fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the Southern Lakes despite 29 points from Gina Ambrose.

-- Waterford 55, Westosha 29—The Wolverines hammered the Falcons 14-4 in the first quarter and rolled to a Southern Lakes Conference girls basketball victory.

Mary Kastengren scored 12 points to pace Waterford. Faith Lois scored a game-high 15 points for Westosha.
