Design of new Janesville Transit System facility underway

Janesville Transit System Director Dave Mumma tells WCLO's Stan Milam Show the design phase on a new operations and maintenance facility is underway. M

umma says federal stimulus money is helping with the design, with the assistance of local firm Angus Young and Associates. Mumma says the old facility has been in operation for the past five decades, so efficiency will be key in the new facility.

Completion of the more than $5 million facility, to be located at the corner of Black Bridge Road and Highway 51, is anticipated sometime in 2011.
