Dean Health System to close Milton Clinic
MILTON — Dean Health System will close its Milton Clinic in February.
The clinic will be moved into Dean’s Northview Clinic in Janesville.
Dr. Eric Lyerla and the staff in Milton will transfer to the Northview Clinic.
When the new Janesville Medical Campus opens in late 2011, the Northview Clinic will then move into the new campus.
The decision was based on the challenges of maintaining a clinic with a single physician, and the opportunities that would be created through the consolidation of services at a larger site, according to a Dean news release.
“As we continue long-range planning for the opening of our new Janesville medical campus in approximately two years, we continue to analyze our southern region service area to ensure we are providing the best care at the lowest cost,” Dean communications manager Melissa Wollering told WCLO radio.
“Caring for our patients from the Milton community remains important to us, and we look forward to continuing to serve our Milton patients at the Northview location,” she said.
