Two more in the running for school board

JANESVILLE — Two more people have taken out papers to run for Janesville School Board. They are Rene' Bue and Kristin Hesselbacher.

Bue, 48, of 3021 Palmer Drive No. 10, is the bilingual outreach coordinator at Hedberg Public Library.

Hesselbacher, 41, of 1210 N. Martin Road, is a freelance grant writer who has written grants for the Janesville School District for several years. She has been active in school-parent organizations.

This brings to five the number of people who have taken out papers to run for three seats in the April elections. The others are Karl Dommershausen and incumbents Diedre Richard and Peter D. Severson.

The third incumbent, Tim Cullen, has announced he will not run again.

To be included on the ballot, a candidate must gather 100 to 200 signatures and file nomination papers by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5.
