The City of Janesville is investigating new recycling opportunities.

The Sustainable Janesville Committee is telling the city council about a potential recycling program Monday. The Recycle Away From Home program is intended to address gaps in recycling at community events, facilities and local businesses. The Janesville School District recently approved a pilot recycling program at Craig High School that is similar to the proposed program at the city level. City staff members are currently evaluating city facilities to ensure recycling is provided.

With further development of the proposal after Monday's presentation, the city council will review and approve a plan.

Yeah... What are the details?
I think Janesville is behind the times in recycling. There are many things that we should be able to recycle. The two things that I would like to see most are #5 plastic and batteries.
