Rock County authorities urge caution on roads
With the season's first big winter storm arriving Tuesday night, Rock County Emergency Management Coordinator Shirley Connors is reminding motorists to be prepared.
She recommends dressing for the weather, and have a seasonal survival kit in in car. She also advises checking on road conditions before leaving home, and avoiding travel unless absolutely necessary.
Janesville Deputy Police Chief Dan Davis also reminds motorists not to park on city streets during the snow emergency, so the plows can do their work.
