— A Delavan man convicted of dealing large amounts of cocaine likely will be deported to Mexico after serving 12 years in prison.

Gerardo C. Hernandez, 28, of 502 Park Ave., Delavan, was charged in Walworth County with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. He was sentenced this week to 12 years in prison and 4 years of extended supervision.

"We're very concerned about the amount of drugs that was found and the fact that he admitted to being a cocaine dealer for a year to a year and a half," said Joshua Grube, Walworth County's deputy district attorney. "And he had crystal methamphetamine, which is wickedly terrible stuff."

Hernandez was selling drugs out of a residence about 150 feet from Wileman Elementary School, Grube said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Gail Montenegro said ICE has a detainer on Hernandez and he is to be turned over to federal officials after his release from custody in Wisconsin.

Grube, who prosecutes most Walworth County drug cases, said Hernandez is a significant dealer in the Delavan area who was moving “a lot of cocaine in the community.”

Walworth County sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at Hernandez’s residence and recovered 12 baggies containing more than 6 ounces of cocaine and another baggie containing 9 grams of methamphetamine.

Deputies also found a digital scale, Mexican passport and a Mexican ID card that belonged to Hernandez.

Grube said Hernandez admitted selling about 2 ounces of cocaine per week, Grube said. Hernandez received cocaine from California to sell in Delavan, the prosecutor added.

Hernandez is an illegal immigrant from Mexico who sent money back to his home country, Grube said.

Just send him to the white House to work as a cook.

Why not, the Secret Service lets anyone in.

An excerpt from this very paper back in March 2009...

"The Mexican Consulate of Chicago started its mobile consulate 10 years ago, said consul Francisco Valdes. This is the consulate's first trip to Janesville, though it has visited Beloit and Madison, he said.

The visit is a service of the Mexican government for Mexican citizens, he said. It was paid for by Blackhawk Community Credit Union with non-financial support from the YWCA, Hedberg Public Library and volunteers.

"We're just providing a needed service to the community," said Evelyn Woodring, YWCA Immigrant Outreach Program director. "It's not paid for by the taxpayers." "

And, in case you wondered about legal status being an issue for anyone, more from the same article in March 2009....

"Consulate workers did not verify applicants' immigration status because that's not their business, Woodring said.

"These are (the consulate's) nationals," she said. "They're here to serve their citizens."

It's the U.S. government's job to monitor immigration through Immigration and Customs Enforcement, she said."

Right...but foreign consulates can do everything in their power to undermine U.S. immigration law, right?

Blackhawk can be reached at 800-779-5555 or locally at 608-755-6065 in order to tell them they should avoid sponsoring the Mexican Consulate again next year!!

And remember folks...earlier this year your Blackhawk Credit Union sponsored the Mexican Consulate to come to Janesville with their cute little passport and I.D. consulate wagon and hand out the EXACT documents that this illegal alien drug dealer had in his possession....the Mexican Matricular Consular card and the Mexican passport. ALL DONE OVER THE COUNTER...which I'm sure really insures "document integrity!" Remember, these are the documents he used to appear halfway "legit" in his dealings in the community...with landlords, banks, etc....and basically allowed him to not stand out so much as an illegal alien!!

Please don't let the Mexican Consulate come to your community anymore...do what you have to in order to pressure sponsors of this madness and the hosts of it that a "mobile" consulate like that has only one purpose, and it violates the Patriot Act: to AID AND ABET ILLEGAL ALIENS' STAYING IN AMERICA!!

And, while you're at it, folks...our Congress and Pretender President will be trying to ram through another ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY program beginning this month, or just after New Year. Please join FREE at NumbersUSA.com to fight any effort to legalize illegals with the magic "amnesty wand." THANKS for fighting!!

Just lock him up and lose the key, otherwise he'll just be back a week after being deported and doing the same, worthless scum.

what i think is funny as heck is all you people who blast me for my posts and then bring me into the thread before i even get here. i totally understand with all the posts ive written, and with my beliefs on the failed drug war in general, why my name comes to mind when we see a story on drugs...but as ive explained before...if you dont agree with what i say WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU MENTION MY NAME HOPING FOR A RESPONSE?? it leads me to believe one of two things. either a)you dont have the intelligence level of my 10 year old(i dont have to tell her to leave something alone that she doesnt like) or 2)im on some peoples minds more than just drug storys and they use the drug story as a means to reach out an try to communicate with me, without making it look obvious. if, bellagio, its the former i feel sorry for you. i would give you some advice on how to grow up, but if you havent at this point i dont think words i type will help. if its the latter all i can say BB is that im flattered but i have a beautiful girlfriend who doesnt judge people and has an intelligence level better than a tween. whichever it is BB, good luck with life and i hope the confusion clears for you at some point!! peace!!

Illegal? Yes Immigrant? No He is a trespasser.

Did they file any charges against him for THAT?

And if they didn't, WHY didn't they?
