They are Karl Dommershausen, who ran for school board last April, and incumbent Diedre Richard.
Three seats could be contested in the spring elections, those of Richard, Peter D. Severson and Tim Cullen. Cullen has said he will not run again.

Dommershausen has twice run unsuccessfully for Janesville City Council.
To be included on the ballot, a candidate must file nomination papers with no fewer than 100 and no more than 200 signatures by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at the Educational Services Center, 527 South Franklin St.
Forms are available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Educational Services Center. For more information, call Nancy Hewes, assistant board clerk, at (608) 743-5056.
