Milton loses basketball league opener

Jason Hinz completed a three-point play with 7.7 seconds left to lift Oregon past Milton, 55-52, in a Badger South boys basketball opener Tuesday night at Milton.


Hinz had 26 points.


Milton (0-2), which managed a desperation three-pointer at the buzzer, took a 46-41 lead into the fourth quarter.


Brandon Knudtson led the Red Hawks with 16 points. Nate Hammon added 12.
