Janesville's city council discusses the future of the Tallman House Thursday.

A report lists $2.5 million in repairs to the landmark. Next month, the Rock County Historical Society is taking part in a celebration of Abraham Lincoln's stop in Janesville. But Thursday, the city council debates what to do about rotting wood, peeling paint and eroding mortar.

The council's study session will be the first televised on the city's cable access station, JATV.
