Errors hurt Beloit Snappers in loss to Cougars

GENEVA, ILL. — The Beloit Snappers suffered lapses in the field and lost 6-4 to the Kane County Cougars in Midwest League baseball Tuesday night.

The Snappers committed three errors as the Cougars scored four unearned runs. Kane County scored three runs in the sixth inning with the help of two Snappers’ errors and a wild pitch seal the victory.

Beloit starter Bruce Pugh allowed three runs—two earned—on three hits and five walks. Pugh notched six strikeouts. Reliever Kyle Carr (0-2) took the loss, getting stuck for three unearned runs on three hits.
