Monday marks the start of the academic year at UW-Whitewater.

Chancellor Richard Telfer will present the annual State of the University Address to kick off the year. It's an opportunity to welcome faculty and staff, and offer remarks. Among the anticipated topics, Telfer is likely to talk about difficult times and the state budget crisis. He's also expected to express confidence in the future of UW-Whitewater. A highlight will likely be the new home for the College of Business and Economics in Timothy J. Hyland Hall.

The address is planned for 10:30 a.m. in the Young Auditorium.
