Clutch hits elude Beloit Snappers

— The Beloit Snappers could not take advantage of 10 runners in scoring position in dropping a 3-2 game to the Kane County Cougars on Sunday afternoon at Pohlman Field.

Beloit was only 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left nine runners on base.


Daniel Rams had three hits for the Snappers, including two doubles and an RBI single in the seventh.


Brad Tippett took the loss for Beloit. The righthander (8-7) gave up three runs on six hits in six innings of work.


The Snappers begin a four-game series at Kane County tonight.
