WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on state's effort to crack down on drunk driving

RSS

Janesville police are joining law enforcement from across the state in an Alcohol Crackdown Mobilization.

Deputy Police Chief Dan Davis says state dollars will enable three additional officers to be on special duty Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 11:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. for the next four weeks. Davis says this will be the only duty the officers conduct during that time, unless there's and emergency.

Other area departments including the Rock County Sheriff's Office and Beloit Police are also participating in the crackdown through September 7th.
