UWW prepares for first all-campus furlough day

Don't expect much of a response if you call UW-Whitewater Friday.

It's the university's first all-campus furlough day. University Spokeswoman Sara Kuhl says November 27, December 23 and April 2 are the remaining three all-campus furloughs. Employees are also required to take an additional four furlough days to complete the eight mandated by the state. Kuhl says some employees have a waiver for Friday, for training or safety purposes. Otherwise, employees aren't allowed to answer telephone calls or email and residence halls are closed.
