Rattlers strike early, roll past Beloit Snappers

GRAND CHUTE — The Beloit Snappers were held to six hits in an 8-2 loss to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Midwest League baseball here Monday night.

The visiting Snappers left 11 runners stranded, while the Timber Rattlers reached Beloit pitchers for 10 hits and left three men on base.

Wisconsin did the damage early, scoring four runs in the second inning and adding three more in the third for a 7-1 lead.

Beloit starter Brad Tippett (8-6) took the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits through three innings.
