Authorities are investigating the cause of a plane crash Wednesday morning a little before 10:00 o'clock near North Pleasant Prairie Road near West Kyle Road in the Town of Union.

A crop duster apparently crashed into a corn field shortly after take-off. The lone occupant of the aircraft escaped shortly before it burst into flames. The Evansville Fire Department put out the blaze.

47-year-old Selwyn Hale Ellis of Dacula, Georgia declined medical attention.
