WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on Beloit Police Department reaccreditation

The Beloit Police Department has received reaccreditation for the sixth time by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

Acting Chief Norm Jacobs says the department is proud to be recognized by CALEA as being in compliance with more than 400 standards set forth by the commission.

He says employees and officers are to be commended for demonstrating their commitment to professional law enforcement excellence.

Beloit has a lot of professional officers and deserve an atta-boy for this accomplishment once again.

BTW - I see them on the west side all the time, but they get sent to the Merrill neighborhood all the time to back up east side officers. No chickens there!
