The Janesville Department of Motor Vehicles Service Center won't be open this Friday.

State imposed furloughs will force a one day shut down. Officials thought this would be better than risking long lines by reducing the hours of workers over a length of time. Rock County Clerk Lori Stottler says her office can help in some area. Stottler says the clerk's office is now a registered agent of the DMV. As a result, vehicle owners can now renew and receive their annual license plate stickers, as well as titling their vehicles at the clerk's offfice.

The service does require an added fee.
