Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton is planning a stop in Beloit to discuss new small business loans with local business leaders.

Amy Loudenbeck, interim president for the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, says about half of the loans through the American Recovery and Reinvestment act have gone to Wisconsin, because the state has pursued it aggressively. Lawton will discuss the state of the economy along with discussing new loans available.

The event is scheduled for 11:30 AM at the Vision Beloit Center, 500 Public Avenue.
