Dragons top Snappers
BELOIT The Beloit Snappers were held to two hits in a 2-1 loss to the visiting Dayton Dragons in Midwest League baseball Wednesday.
Evan Bigley doubled home the Snappers’ lone in the sixth to tie the game 1-1.
In the seventh inning, Dayton’s Humberto Sosa ripped a one-out double and Kevin Coddington’s RBI single plated Sosa with the winning run.
Dayton starter Oscar Castro (1-1) allowed two hits through the first seven innings to gain the victory. Three Snappers’ pitchers allowed nine hits with Beloit reliever Henry Reyes taking the loss, allowing one run on five hits through 2q innings.
