Restaurant promotion pays off

A new Janesville restaurant gets a lot of attention thanks to a free handout.

Dozens of tents popped up over the weekend in the parking lot of a new Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on Milton Avenue. A banner proclaimed the first 100 on opening day would get free wings for a year. A group of Craig High School 15-years-olds were the first to be in line about 2:00 o'clock Sunday morning. A carnival atmosphere, complete with cook-outs and back-yard games, developed. The restaurant's manager even brought in port-a-potties.

He adds more than 100 certificates were handed out at the Monday morning opening to ensure those camping overnight were rewarded.
