— Two Lake Geneva residents were arrested Thursday evening for possession of heroin.

Amber L. Drummond, 24, and Jeremy L. Nunn, 32, were taken to the Walworth County Jail after Lake Geneva police executed a search warrant at their residence in the 200 block of Warren Street.

Officers recovered 70 bindles containing approximately 7 grams of heroin and about $940 cash, according to Det. Ed Gritzner of the Lake Geneva Police Department.

A 36-year-old man, who Drummond confirmed to be a previous buyer, also was arrested after approaching the house when the warrant was being executed at 7:19 p.m. He later was released while officers investigate the case.

This is the second heroin-related arrest in Walworth County in the past week.

Eric L. McIntyre, 30, of N2402 Charles Young Drive, Burlington, is charged with three counts of delivery of heroin, one count of possession of heroin with intent to deliver, six counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of possession of marijuana.

McIntyre was under surveillance by the Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit, which worked with a confidential informant to buy heroin three times in April, according to the criminal complaint.

A search warrant of McIntyre’s residence revealed three rifles, three pistols, 174 tinfoil bindles containing about 17 grams of heroin, 6 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the complaint.

McIntyre waived his right to a preliminary hearing Friday and is scheduled for arraignment April 29. He is being held on $70,000 cash bond.

Drummond and Nunn each are being held on $50,000 cash bond. They are scheduled for preliminary hearings May 1.

you are right madeinusa, these towns need to ban together and fight together against this rapidly growing use and selling of heroin it is literally killing our communities and we need to beat it together. Maybe the more people that get busted the more the other people will be to scared to use it or sell it. Maybe just maybe I know it is not a for sure way to get rid of this growing problem but at least it is a start

wonder if there is a coloration between the growing Heroin problem and the growing Hispanic population in "Walworth County" area. If it is an easy way to make a living In Mexico maybe its an easy way to make a living here also.

Wonder how long it will take to tie this in with the lawyer and teacher case.
