— The Beloit Snappers got back on the winning track Thursday night.

Bobby Lanigan survived a shaky first inning, and Evan Bigley drove in two runs to lead the Snappers to a 7-4 win over Quad Cities in Midwest League baseball at Pohlman Field.

Quad Cities jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first before Lanigan settled down. He allowed only two hits over the next five innings and struck out 10.

Beloit took the lead for good with three runs in the fifth, capped off by Bibley’s two-run double.

The two teams conclude the four-game series tonight.
