Could a helmet saved her? Possible.
I wonder if he just slammed the rear brake and tried downshifting. I know quite a few guys who are scared to death from using the front brake thinking it will flip them over in an emergency stop.

If you re-read the article, it clearly states that the accident happened on Saturday, she passed away on Monday. The coroner's office and state patrol take a few days to release reports, so I'm sure the Gazette staff waited to post the news until everything was official and verified. I feel for this poor family who lost their loved one.

If she died on Saturday that makes this week old news~ Are you sure it was Saturday? Bye the way it does not state what injuries she died from, so don't assume A helmet would have saved her life..... It is still A very tragic story none the less, I'm sorry for her families loss.......

Maybe the helmet; not so much. Not loosing control would be a more sure bet.
