— Circle Dec. 2 on your calendars

That night the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team will host to Duke in the 11th annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. It will be the Badgers’ first home game in the event in three years and the first time the Blue Devils will play at the Kohl Center.

The pairing and date were officially announced Wednesday. The time and broadcast information will be announced later, although all games in the Challenge will be broadcast on one of ESPN’s networks.

The matchup is the highest profile game UW has ever hosted in the event and is likely to be one of the most anticipated home games in school history. Duke, one of the top programs in the nation, is expected to start next season ranked in the top 10.

The Blue Devils have never lost in the event. One of their victories was an 82-58 victory over Wisconsin two years ago in Durham, N.C.

In the marquee matchup, Michigan State will play at North Carolina in a rematch of the national championship game.

Here is the complete schedule:

-- Nov. 30—Penn State at Virginia.

-- Dec. 1—Maryland at Indiana; Michigan State at North Carolina; Northwestern at North Carolina State; Virginia Tech at Iowa; Wake Forest at Purdue.

-- Dec. 2—Duke at Wisconsin; Boston College at Michigan; Florida State at Ohio State; Illinois at Clemson; Minnesota at Miami
