River Bandits hammer Beloit again

BELOIT — The visiting Quad Cities River Bandits continued to hammer the Beloit Snappers in Midwest League baseball here Wednesday.

After pounding the Snappers with 11 hits in a 15-2 victory Tuesday, the River Bandits collected 12 hits in a 4-2 victory over the Snappers this time.

Quad Cities took a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning on Paul Cruz’ solo home run, three singles and an error.

Beloit starter Daniel Osterbrock was tagged for all four runs on 11 hits in six innings to take the loss. The Snappers managed just five hits off four River Bandits’ pitchers.
