Craig tennis team takes down Beloit
JANESVILLE Janesville Craig played a spirited match and came away with a 4-3 victory over Beloit Memorial in Big Eight boys tennis Wednesday at Palmer Park.
Craig High improved to 2-0 in the conference.
“For young guys, they are improving by leaps and bounds,” Craig coach Gary Hallowell said. “They are fighters on the court as far as going after points, their attitude is just awesome.’’
Hallowell also praised senior Blake Humphrey’s 6-1, 6-1 victory for the Cougars over Don Andreas.
“Blake’s a newcomer, and it was quite exciting,” Hallowell said.
