The Janesville City Council has a new president.
Bill Truman was elected by his council member peers during a special meeting Tuesday morning. Truman was recently elected by city voters to his second term, but says he's had a long interest in the council, and serving the city. Truman says the biggest challenge facing the community is economic development.
He says his common, working man background, can help him identify with what the community is experiencing.
