East slips past Parker soccer team
MADISON Katelyn Bullis scored on a corner kick at 13:12 of the first half to give Madison East a 1-0 win over Janesville Parker in a Big Eight girls soccer game Thursday at Breese Stevens Field.
“It was a pretty tough match,” Parker coach Amy Wargowsky said. “The teams were evenly matched, and there were not a lot of scoring opportunities.’’
Sam Anacker made nine saves for the Vikings.
“Sam did an awesome job in goal,” Wargowsky said.
The loss dropped Parker to 1-1 in the Big Eight and 4-3 overall.
Parker hosts Madison West at 7 p.m. Thursday.
