Craig soccer team shuts out Beloit

JANESVILLE — Janesville Craig High School blanked Beloit Memorial, 5-0, in Big Eight Conference girls soccer here Tuesday.

Nicole Gutzman scored two goals and added an assist to pace the Cougars.

“Gutzman played very well,” Craig coach Bill McCabe said. “She is reading the game real well.’’

The Cougars evened their Big Eight record at 1-1 and are 4-3 overall.

“Everyone is starting to feed off each other,” McCabe said. “They are getting stronger with every game.’’

Craig travel to Madison La Follette for a 7 p.m. game Thursday.
