WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on stimulus money being used for summer jobs for youth

RSS

Dozens of youth in Rock county will have work this summer thanks to federal stimulus money.

Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board Director Bob Borremans says part of the $1.7 million in workforce training funds for Rock county will support the summer program. The goal is to get youth under 25-years-in-age into career oriented jobs.

The program will pay minimum wage in private and public sector jobs through the summer.
