Parker finishes second at Hononegah relays

Janesville Parker High School girls track team finished second at the Hononegah Relays here Saturday.

The Vikings did not finish lower than fifth in any of the 18 events.

“We scored in every single event,” Parker coach Dave Lehmann said. “It was a total team effort.’’

Parker won the 800 relay, the 9-10 1,600 relay, triple jump relay and the high jump relay.

Hoffman Estates (Ill.) Conant tipped Parker, 158-121, for the championship.

Parker’s Emily Mauermann, Niquisha Kenerson, Shelby Demos and Kelsey Jones won the 800 relay.

Erika Whitson, Kylie Simonson and Sam Maurer on the long jump relay, Whitson, Kenerson and Maurer won the triple jump relay and Kristin Zeilinger, Alex Oines and Demos won the high jump relay for Parker.
