Janesville man arrested after SWAT call

Janesville police arrested 38 year old Richard T. Hall early this morning following an alleged domestic abuse incident at 3212 Stellar Drive.

Police responded to the address shortly after 9:00 Thursday night following reports of a man trying to strangulate a woman. Police were told there was a gun in the house, although there were no reports of it being used.

Attempts were made to contact Hall with a bullhorn, but there was no response. The SWAT team was called out and arrived around 11:00. About two hours later contact was made with the suspect through a bedroom window.

Hall was arrested for strangulation domestic abuse, and is being held at the Rock County Jail.
