Beloit College grad tells of his time in Middle East

The subject of an international search tells his story Friday in Beloit.

Beloit College grad Taylor Luck was vacationing in Lebanon in October 2008. He and a fellow journalist at the Jordan Times hired a cab, but the driver drove them into Syria against their will. The two were detained in Syria for a week while authorities accused the of entering the country illegally. Luck will be speaking about the role of the Arab media Friday at 4:00pm in Richardson Auditorium. He says the Middle Eastern media market is a powerful player and has the strength to make or break the region.
