— Catcher Alezander Soto continued his hot hitting by going 3-for-5 with two RBIs to help the visiting Beloit Snappers beat Quad Cities, 10-7, in Midwest League action Tuesday night.

Shortstop Ramon Santana hit a solo homer in the seventh inning, and first baseman Jon Waltenbury matched Soto by going 3-for-5 with two RBIs as the Snappers won their first game after three losses.

Brad Tippett, a 21-year-old native of Australia, earned the win by pitching five-hit ball over five innings.

The teams will conclude their series with a noon game today.

The Snappers will open their home schedule Thursday night against Burlington at 7:30.
