Um... The reason they offer dialup is that anyone with a computer, modem, and a phone can log on. With DSL, you need specialized equipment and someone to come in and install it. Typically, DSL requires a contract with your phone company anyway. Dialup is practically the only thing that CAN be offered for free.

This is a wonderful gesture, ICONNECT. I've seen so many businesses offering to help in any small way they are able and I appreciate all the efforts being put forth to help those in need.

Well nutty does have a point sort of,Dial up
is pretty slow and most sites including job
search sites are designed with high-speed in
mind.It is nice that they did this would have
been far nicer to give them DSL just for the faster load times.
As alot of computers will `time out` if a page
takes to long to load.

I wasn't complaining, just wondering. Whenever funds are low in my household the library is a good resource for internet or entertainment.

Why can't they just use the free internet at the library?
