UW-Whitewater's Small Business Development Center will help teach Beloit entrepreneurs "Tips and Tools to Grow Business" during a seminar Thursday.

Amy Loudenbeck, Vice President of the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, says this is new information for local business owners. Thursday's sesson is an overview of topics, and future seminars will tackle individual topics in depth. Thursday's agenda includes information about federal funding, lending and resources from the SBDC. Future sessions could discuss mergers, acquisitions and getting the most out of financial statements.

The seminar starts at noon at Vision Beloit. It's free and open to the public.
