I loved listening to Loverboy like 26 years ago when I was in 6th grade. Now why couldn't they have been here then? Maybe Sevendust can come here in 25 years. On a positive note I do remember seeing Kenny Rodgers and Eddie Rabbit 25-30 years ago here- the last time I saw a good ROCK group (and thats being kind) was in 1983 Head East! You would think 105.9 The Hogg would help put the ROCK back into ROCK COUNTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...... at least all the old people will have a good time, if there up late enough. Maybe we could try and pretend that there are more than just hillbillies living in janesville.

I am sick and tired of people who are sick and tired of people. We aren't supposed to sugar-coat everything we post here. We are supposed to comment and give our opinions on the topics of the articles. How many people would bother to read a message board with nothing but comments like, "How nice" or "Gee, that's neato"? Everyone here has an opinion and naturally not all of us can agree with everyone every time. I respect your right to post your feelings about the story, but to be openly judgmental about people who express their views is not in keeping with the intent of these forums. You disagree with some opinions and you lash back by telling people to "grow up". Who's the immature one here?

I get sick and tired of hearing people complain about the fair. The fair is not about the entertainment, etc. I, for one, find it very sad that this what people think makes or breaks the fair. The point of the fair is support our young people and their projects. Grow up people!

And this is why I don't waste my money and go to the Janesville fair! It's really sad that Beloit has a better show than Janesville come on people get with the program.

Comparing Riverfest to the 4-H Fair is like comparing a 7 course meal at one of New York's finest restaurants to a pile of dead dung beetles. The 4-H Fair is consistent in having sub-par entertainment year after year. I saw Ray Charles in Beloit. I've never heard of any legends coming to Janesville.

Since everyone seems to be complaining about the entertainment at the fair, how about YOU play promoter and name some bands that should play here. Keep in mind that there is one set, outdoors, with limited seating. Also check the band's touring schedule and make sure they will be in the area (as in not on other side of country) at the time of the fair. And while you are at it, remember to keep the cost low because there is an extremely small budget.
Ok go at it!
