Area gymnasts get all-state honors
The Wisconsin High School Gymnastics Coaches all-state team has plenty of local flavor on it.
Led by Division 2 state champion Carleigh Felstead of Milton, there are four area gymnasts on the first team.
Felstead, a junior, has been named to the first team in Division 2 in the all-around. Janesville Parker sophomore Erika Whitson is on the first team in the all-around in Division 1.
Janesville Craig freshman Becky Schneider is a first-team selection in Division 1 on vault, while Whitewater’s Kimberly Stonewerth received the same honor in Division 2.
Parker sophomore Emily Mauermann is a second-team selection on uneven bars, with Craig’s Lauren Moran earning second-team recognition in the all-around and the Cougars’ Breanna Green the same honor on vault.
Milton’s Beth Beyer and Cassie Cropp have been named to the second team on balance beam, with the Red Hawks’ Alexandra Burki earning second-team honors on vault.
Craig’s Nicole Kass and Ashley Schulz-Lenz have received honorable mention on vault.
